Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day weekend in full color at The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch. The Fields of Luck 5K is a limited-entry opportunity to run, walk, or stroll through one of San Diego’s most iconic spring destinations—right as the flowers reach peak bloom.

This isn’t your average 5K. You’ll wind through vibrant rows of ranunculus, take in sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean, and experience The Flower Fields in a way few ever do—before the gates open to the public.

Dress in your favorite green, gold, or full St. Paddy’s flair and lean into the fun. Whether you’re chasing a PR, snapping photos, or soaking up the vibe with friends, this race is all about movement, music, color, and a little bit of luck.

The venue opens at 6:45 AM.
Enter through the Palomar Airport Road gate.

Yes! Free parking is available at The Flower Fields main lot.
Packet Pickup will be held at the Running Center (2584-B El Camino Real, Carlsbad, CA 9200)

Anyone may pick up your packet.
Bring your Race Roster receipt.
You may also pick up your packet on Race Day from 7AM-7:45AM.
Chip-timed 5K (two loops) around the Flower Fields.

You will pass under the Start/Finish banner three times:
Start
End of lap 1: Stay RIGHT to Continue.
Finish: Stay LEFT to finish
Course Closing
The Flower Fields opens to the public at 9:00 AM, and the race course will begin closing then.
Course Etiquette:
Warm up on the main dirt paths only. Please do not run through the flower rows.
Strollers are permitted on the race course; please start toward the back of the start line.
Dogs and other pets are not permitted at the race.
Sure! Spectators must purchase a spectator pass to be allowed into The Flower Fields. Purchase passes here.
Water and fruit available.
Food and drink vendors will be open at the post-race Expo at the Pavilion Stage.
You sure can! Your registration includes admission to The Flower Fields.
Shirt exchanges available after the race only if sizes remain.
